Cartier Santos Octagonal Burgundy

Overview

The Cartier Santos was the first men’s wristwatch ever produced. It’s a timeless design that has undergone numerous iterations and permutations over the last 100 years. This example from the 1980’s features an octagonal bezel and integrated bracelet that has made the Santos famous today. The Burgundy dial is exceptionally rare and highly desirable, changing color depending on the different light conditions it catches. This is a great integrated bracelet steel sports watch, from a top tier brand, at an accessible price.

Condition

This watch is in overall good condition for the age. Case is lightly polished with minor scratches consistent with wear. Hands retain their bright blue color with no corrosion. Dial has microscopic blemishes and spotting only visible with a loupe. Movement is running well and keeping good time, yet last service date is not known. Bracelet has no stretch and will fit up to a 6-inch wrist.
