Cartier Ellipse

Overview

The large ellipse remains an under-appreciated watch from Cartier in the 70's. Sometimes affectionately referred to sometimes as the "Jellybean," its case is exceptionally unique with the double stepped bezel and elongated form. There were likely less than ~3,000 large Ellipses made between 1973 and the early 1980's making it much rarer than models such as the Tank Louis. The Ellipse remains a great value and introduction to Vintage Cartier.

Condition

This watch is in exceptional condition for age. Case is unpolished with very minor scratches. Hands have some corrosion and have lost their bright blue color. Dial is flawless with no cracks. Movement is running well and keeping good time, yet last service date is not known. Strap Alligator Leather from Haddn and comes with a Cartier 18k Deployant Clasp.
